Who do I make a check out to?
Please make checks payable to Mercy Ministries.
In the memo, you can state if you wish the check to go Mercy Trails Ranch expenses, salary, child sponsorship, Romania ministries, etc. Please contact us with any questions regarding this.
Is my gift tax deductible?
Yes, Mercy Ministries is a registered 501(c)3 organization. Therefore any money or property that you give is fully eligible for deductible status as long as you receive no marketable services in return. You will receive a receipt for your gift to keep with your records for tax purposes.
May I designate my gift for a specific purpose?
No. You may give a suggestion as to what you would like a gift to be used for, and Mercy Ministries will make every effort to see that it goes for what you suggest, but the final decision on use of any and all donations is made by the executive director and the board of directors.
What can I give?
Anything that has any marketable value may be given and accepted as a tax deductible gift. Gifts of money, stock, property, possessions or professional services may be donated. Mercy Trails Ranch and Mercy Ministries will not accept any vested interest gifts such as royalties from a book or rights from a trust fund. You may donate monies from these items, if the funds have come to you first.
What are professional services?
These are services that you are licensed in. i.e. electrical, plumbing, engineering. Or services from a your current form of employment, i.e. office assistance from a bookkeeper. All other gifts of services are non-professional and are therefore not tax deductible, but would still be greatly appreciated.
How do I know my money will be going to the ministry?
We at Mercy Ministries and Mercy Trails Ranch believe that it is important to be accountable with our finances. We have an independent accountant that reviews our books every year, and when the resources are provided, we will be reviewed by an auditing entity. If you have further questions or concerns, please contact us and we will be happy to provide you with the information that you need.
Would you prefer a large one-time gift, or small gifts throughout the year?
Gifts that we receive on a monthly basis go for the day-to-day operation of the ministry. One-time gifts go for projects that need to be completed unless there are not enough monthly gifts to cover day-to-day costs. Both are vital and we trust that God will lay on your heart the best way for you to give.
